Job Description
Our client in the banking industry is looking for a self-driven Human Resource Manager who will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and current trends
- Investigate employee issues and resolve them according to labour laws
- Ensure the company is compliant with the labour laws
- Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to employees
- Ensure all company HR policies are adhered to
- Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
- Maintain HR systems and processes
- Conduct performance and salary reviews
- Provide support and guidance to HR staff
- Design and implement employee retention strategies
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related
• A member of IHRM
• Minimum experience of five (5) years in busy environment and similar capacity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and regulations.
