Job Description

Our client in the banking industry is looking for a self-driven Human Resource Manager who will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff and enforcing company policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  2. Ensure job descriptions are up to date
  3. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  4. Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and current trends
  5. Investigate employee issues and resolve them according to labour laws
  6. Ensure the company is compliant with the labour laws
  7. Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to employees
  8. Ensure all company HR policies are adhered to
  9. Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
  10. Maintain HR systems and processes
  11. Conduct performance and salary reviews
  12. Provide support and guidance to HR staff
  13. Design and implement employee retention strategies

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related
• A member of IHRM
• Minimum experience of five (5) years in busy environment and similar capacity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and regulations.
